About this Role
Are you the next breakout star on the DragonTree MG team!? We are looking for a highly motivated, extremely creative video operator and editor who can take a client's idea from “blah” to “WOW!”. We are a company that uses Google products so you must be familiar, or willing to familiarize yourself with Google Documents, Spreadsheets, Gmail, Google Analytics, and the rest of their offers.
Responsibilities of the job include
Conceptualizing, storyboarding, creating, and posting original content such as social media posts, Reels, digital videos for client and company-owned web properties, podcasts, and infographics.
Stay on top of changes to the algorithm, interface, and capabilities of primary social media platforms that we, and our clients, use including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, YouTube, SnapChat, and the suite of Google applications.
Develops original concepts for content that will appeal to specific target audiences.
Editing existing footage to ensure that it is grammatically correct and engaging to the reader or viewer.
Taking the lead on collaborations with designers or programmers to develop visual content such as infographics or animated images.
Enhance and grow the online presence for DragonTree MG, our clients, and our brands by creating social media content consistent with the overall marketing strategy.
Add products to e-commerce sites, update company and client websites, and more.
Participate in virtual and the occasional in-person client meetings to fully comprehend their vision, ask critical clarifying questions, establish expectations, communications, timelines, and deadlines.
Translate client verbal descriptions of their goals into concept briefs, treatments, and present your work when requested.
Manage film equipment inventory, maintenance, and purchasing.
Assemble raw footage and transferring or uploading to a computer.
Create blog post topics and updates the website each week with new content.
Evaluate marketing strategies overtime to enhance efficiency and demonstrate value to the client.
Interview industry leaders, experts, or other individuals with relevant knowledge about a particular topic to gather information for social media content, blog posts, print articles, newsletters, and more.
Identify and utilize popular trends in music, challenges, editing style, and sound to enhance content. This may include compiling music recommendations and scratch voice-overs scripts and tracks.
Digitally splicing film and video and synchronizing them into one rough cut file.
Create a brief outline of footage and/or a shot list, script, or screenplay.
Carry out online editing and finalize technical aspects such as correcting faulty footage, grading and coloring and adding special effects.
Experiment with styles and techniques, including the design of graphic elements.
Oversee the quality and progress of audio and video engineering and editing.
Filming videos on set and at the location.
Working with creative teams and clients to plan video shoots.
Set up and taking down cameras, microphones, lighting, props, and other equipment.
Edit footage under tight turnarounds for posting after recording.
Establish protocol and standard operating procedures to ensure that processes are put in place to increase our efficiency and quality of content.
Add computer graphics, closed captioning, and special effects to all footage (if) needed.
Passionate about staying on top of current trends, new technology, and influencers to ensure you bring the latest methods to the company.
Maintain, test, and when necessary, clean all recording devices, event equipment, and other inventory to ensure every tool is in good working order each day before filming starts.
Create schedules around timelines that fit all parties.
Update the company drive with all (DTM) owned footage.
Requirements
Must have reliable transportation
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
Must have at least 2 years of driving experience
At least 18 years of age with a High School Diploma or GED
Ability to stand for long periods of time, and lift/move up to 50 lbs
Prior experience with content management encouraged but not required
Flexible schedule, with the ability and willingness to work varied hours on the weekdays, and weekends.
Must have accessibility to video conference programs such as Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
Since some of our clients are hospitals and/ or medical companies a COVID vaccination is required.
Resides in counties- Union, Montour, Northumberland, Schuylkill, Luzerne, Lehigh, Snyder, Columbia, Dauphin, Easton, and Cumberland (or willing to travel between 30 minutes and 2.5 hours for events, festivals, marathons, and other company and client related events).
Skills
Proven work experience as a content producer or similar role
Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing tools
Experience with research methods using data analytics
Expertise with launching campaigns
Solid computer skills, including MS Office, Google, and other new software systems
Familiarity with Customer Relationship Management and Content Management
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Strong writing and research skills
Marketing degree or relevant field
Must be detail-oriented, creative, and organized.
Self-starter, with the ability to take and follow direction

***This is a contract position, hours will be created around events and fluctuate on a month-to-month basis.

***This position will start at an hourly rate of $15 to $20 based on experience.

DragonTree Media Group
The DragonTree Media is conducted in a semi-hybrid environment, including 20% work-from-home opportunities and 80% in-person at events, photoshoots, meetings, retreats, galas/fundraisers, and other organizational-related events. All employees must be willing/able to partake in video conferences and have accessibility to video conference programs such as Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams. Our team is required to attend in-person meetings with our partnerships in adherence to DragonTree Media’s health and safety protocols. This part-time position will require 20-37 hours a week if not more depending on the calendar year.
DragonTree Media Group is looking for a Social Media Coordinator that has creativity, good communication skills, and the ability to keep track of current trends. In addition, they should have knowledge of all social media platforms and online marketing tools that will help them be more successful in their work. Organizational skills are crucial for this position because it involves managing projects from start to finish on timeframes that work best for everyone involved. They should be able to create an atmosphere where all DTM team members, client, and board members feel comfortable to share their ideas while being able to think outside the box to make those ideas come to life.
